ULTRA CHEAPSKATE access to T-zones (CNN.com, Espn.com) using T-mobile To Go on a Voq Professional Phone
This is how I set up my Voq Professional phone to access the cut-down web site that T-mobile makes available to its pauper (aka prepaid aka To go) customers like me hahaha
Basic T-zones for T-mobile To-Go customers includes
The setup process consists of three stages
Stage 1: Set up the WAP connection
Important note: The t-mobile lady asked me where I was - West, Central or East USA - so the below settings are for WEST
You may need to call T-mobile techsupport to get the settings (perhaps the DNS servers will be different) for other parts of the country
(P.S. Jorge Besada writes in from Miami to say that DNS entries of 0.0.0.0 worked for him there on the East Coast - thanks for the tip, Jorge!)

Stage 2: Set up the proxy from WAP to IE (this is from http://www.gruups.com/tzones/)
| Description | TzProxy |

| Proxy (name:port): | 216.155.165.50:8080 |
| Type: | HTTP |
| User name: | leave blank |
| Password: | leave blank |
Stage 3: Set up a favorite to quickly access the T-zones pages
You should then get the text-only T-zones menu, and you can use your joystick to toggle down to News and sport etc
Note that My Account no longer works - just says "redirecting" - however you may try the deep link in the first section
Also, any other favorites like Google etc will not work if you are a prepaid customer: T-zones will tell you that "Your plan does not support this feature"
But what you do get is free and does not even use up your To Go minutes, and you can surf news without eroding your minutes balance
*To get the stock quotes go News & Sport, CNN, 3 Business, 3 Stock Quote and then enter symbol and press Send
(I know! and it's free!)
Let me know if it works for you via email from my email information page
Other Tips
To eliminate unwanted programs from the start menu, investigate the "/Storage/windows/Start Menu/" directory
For some complex registry tweaks (including changing what appears on the MRU list (most recently used) and on the start menu) check this post
To change the way your home screen looks check out this cool program, Facade, from SBSH software.
