First Days
A few minutes old! (Thumbnail 31.1 k bytes, click through to 436kB file). Taken by Dr Smith, the anaesthetist, doing double duty recording the birth. Great photographer, even better anaesthetist. Since Jeffrey was born by C-section, that was key. At this point the boy is about 15 minutes old, he's already been weighed (6lb 4oz) and had his vital signs checked. He's even wearing his first nappy (diaper)... - Welcome to America, kid!
A few minutes old! 		First bath (Thumbnail 26.8 k bytes, click through to 272 kB file). Jeffrey was born around 1:20pm and this is his first bath at around midnight on the same day. He looks pretty tranquil in the stills but in the video he's not so contented. The nurse was really nice about it though, and even came to check on us the next night (though we weren't on her round).

It was a tough choice between this one and one where he is looking straight at Janet, but the 'Today Newport Beach, tomorrow the World' vibe of this one took the cake!
A day old! (with Mummy) 		2 days old (Thumbnail 20 k bytes, click through to 483kB file). Janet caught this cute shot of Jeffrey reaching up to my face. He's so tiny and sweet! Perhaps I should hang on to this one to look at when he crashes my car in 17 years time. Like the previous one, used MS Office Picture Manager to tweak the color balance, as the hospital room had a lot of flourescent light.
2 days old (with Daddy)
The First Month

The First Quarter
